The California Gurls hitmaker jumped into a debateon Twitter, started by British singer Marina of 'Marina andthe Diamonds' who posted the question, "What is consensus onproduct placement in videos? As a fan, do you prefer productplacement if it means bigger budget for video (sic)?"

Perry slammed Spears' recent advertisement-friendlyvideo, tweeting, "Do it with style and grace... Not so in urface like some. U hav to get creative with it. Some artistsdon't care tho and u can tell (sic)."

Spears reportedly made a whopping half a milliondollars from product placements in her new music video.

From cosmetics to a dating website, companies paidher a combined total of $500,000 to feature their items inthe four-and-half minute video, reported TMZ.
