Kaun Banega Crorepati 9, Episode 26: This Contestant Is 1 Question Away From Winning Amitabh Bachchan's Show

New Delhi: It was really an interesting episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 9 on Monday's when Anamika Majumdar, a social worker from Jamshedpur, became the first contestant to take the Hot Seat and, wait for it, she was still there when the curtains were drawn on Monday's episode. Anamika Majumdar was applauded several times by Amitabh Bachchan for her smooth performance. Ms Majumdar required her first Lifeline for answering the question for Rs 80,000 - which is great in itself. After going for the Audience Poll, she asked for used the second Lifeline - joridaar - before to answer the 12th question. Ms Majumdar used up her third Helpline - video calling - to answer the second last question of the show to win Rs 5,00,000.

Anamika Majumdar, who is closest to the big winning amount that a contestant has reached so far, is also reported to be the first Crorepati of the show. Ms Majumdar has one more Lifeline left for the final question.
