Kedarnath Director Abhishek Kapoor Remembers Sushant Singh Rajput As Film Clocks 4 Years

Filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor shared a special post on Instagram as his film Kedarnath clocked 4 years on Wednesday. The filmmaker posted a series of throwback pictures of himself along with the late Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan (who made her Bollywood debut with the film). Abhishek Kapoor captioned the post: "It's the all consuming drive to tell a story that gives one the energy to go through incredible hardships and a belief that the story must be told. I am forever grateful to the powers above that gave me the opportunity to deliver Kedarnath." He added the hashtags #jaibholenath and #4yearsofkedarnath to his post. In the comments section of Abhishek Kapoor's post, Ayushamnn Khurrana dropped a heart emoji.

Abhishek Kapoor gave Sushant Singh Rajput his big Bollywood break with the 2013 film Kai Po Che. The 2018 film Kedarnath was their second project together.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Mumbai apartment on June 14, 2020. After his star-making performance as the lead on the show Pavitra Rishta, co-starring Ankita Lokhande, Sushant Singh Rajput made his film debut in 2013's Kai Po Che!, which was also directed by Abhishek Kapoor.

Sushant Singh Rajput's film credits included Kedarnath, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Raabta, Chhichhore and Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! Sushant Singh Rajput was last seen in Dil Bechara, co-starring Sanjana Sanghi. The film was a Hindi remake of The Fault In Our Stars and it released after his death in 2020.
