London:
Twilight star Kellan Lutz says he ate 16 eggs a day and threw rocks to gain muscles for his role in Immortals.
The 26-year-old actor put on 25lbs of muscle for the roleof Greek god Poseidon by training mainly on the beach ratherthan in a gym, reported Q magazine.
"I don't really like the gym. I like to fool my body. Irun around the beach and then there's scaffolding so I canjust do different pulls-ups there. I ate 16 eggs everymorning. I got up to 220 pounds of solid muscle," Lutz said.
The actor also said he trained with co-stars Henry Cavilland Mickey Rourke during filming.
"We were doing push-ups on top of the Humvees. We werethrowing wheels and rocks. We were timing each other, bettingwho can do the most push-ups, just to keep our sanity. Within30 minutes, you're dripping. And it's Africa. We pushed eachother to be the best we could be," Lutz added.
