Los Angeles:
Singer and reality TV star Kelly Osbourne has confessed she thought of committing suicide when she was plumper, as mean criticism made her feel worthless and disgusted.
Media criticism about the 26-year-old's chubby figure was often harsh and Kelly admitted it destroyed her self-esteem, reported OK! Magazine.
"I used to open a newspaper and see 'Ozzy Osbourne's Beached Whale of a Daughter' or something like that. I would be like, 'I hate myself, I hate my life, I want to die," she said
Kelly, who has shed 50 pounds since signing up to compete as a contestant on US TV show Dancing With The Stars in 2009, admitted the whole experience has changed her for the better.
"It's a dream come true. The thing is, I was never fat. There is real-world large and then there is Hollywood large, which is a size 6... I grew up a lot. I believe that every human being has to go through things to find out who they really are and what they want. Life isn't easy. You have to make mistakes and learn from them," she added.
