Kriti Sanon's Mimi has been one of her most powerful and popular roles till date. The actress has been appreciated by critics and fans alike for her role of an aspiring actress, who becomes a surrogate mother for an American couple. On Wednesday, Kriti Sanon won the ELLE Star Performer Of The Year for her role in the film. Upon receiving the award, the actress shared a note thanking those who supported her during and after the making of the film, including director Laxman Utekar and producer Dinesh Vijan. The note is attached to images from the event that saw Kriti at her glamorous best.
In the caption, Kriti said, “ Thank you Elle India for the love and honour. Sometimes all one needs is someone who believes in one's potential. Can't thank you enough Dinoo [Dinesh Vijan] for always pushing me to do better, for believing in me and for giving me this beautiful film that I'll cherish all my life. Kriti Sanon also won the Filmfare Award for her role in Mimi. Sharing an image of her sleeping with the award in her hands, she said, “I ain't sleeping alone tonight. My heart is full… Gratitude. A few weeks ago, as the movie marked one year since its release, Kriti Sanon shared a montage video and wrote, “Mimi turns 1. And the love is still pouring in. A film that gave me so much as an actor. The memories and experience of this journey is beyond priceless. Mimi made me feel Alive and how. Missing everyone attached to the film today,” tagging the cast and crew of the film.
On the work front, Kriti Sanon will be seen in Bhediya with Varun Dhawan next. She also plays the role of Sita in Om Raut's Adipurush.
