The release date for animation action comedy film Kung Fu Panda 3 has been shifted to 2016.
Originally scheduled for December 23, 2015, the Jack Black animation feature will now release on March 18, 2016, reported Digital Spy.
20th Century Fox stated that the decision was made to avoid directly competing with Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which opens on December 18, 2015.
"This is part of our constantly re-evaluating the competitive landscape, as we do with all of our films," said Domestic distribution Chief Chris Aronson.
Jack Black reprises the role of Dragon Warrior, Po in the third Kung Fu Panda movie, returning alongside Angelina Jolie, Lucy Liu, Seth Rogen, Jackie Chan and David Cross as the Furious Five and Dustin Hoffman as Master Shifu.
