Singer Kurt Cobain thought he wasgay as a teenager, reveals music journalist Jon Savage.
The rock legend, who committed suicide in 1994, had toldSavage in an interview in 1993 that he did believe at onepoint that he was gay, reported the Huffington Post.
"Yeah. Yeah. I even thought that I was gay. I thought thatmight be the solution to my problem. Although I neverexperimented with it, I had a gay friend, and then my motherwouldn't allow me to be friends with him anymore because...well, she's homophobic.
"It was real devastating because finally I found a malefriend who I actually hugged and was affectionate too, and wetalked about a lot of things... I couldn't hang out with himanymore," Cobain had said.
Cobain battled depression and drug addiction and committedsuicide at the age of 27.
