Mumbai: Ekta Kapoor has single-handedly proved that she can get outstanding numbers for even an average film like Kyaa Super Kool Hai Hum (KSKHH) based only on its promotions.

Although the film got a thumbs down from the critics, the collections of the film are around Rs 23 crore in its first weekend. The numbers are huge considering that it is the month of Ramzan where the collections normally drop. To add to it, the film is an 'A' certificate film which again keeps the kids and family audience away. The film also did not boast off any major stars and in spite of all this, the film has got such big numbers.
Trade analyst Amod Mehra feels otherwise and said, "It has done reasonably well but it has been sold at a high price and the distributors needs to do double the business to break even. It was a similar case in Ferrari Ki Saawari so while Ekta Kapoor will laugh her way to the bank, the distributors will find it difficult to break even. There has been a huge fall on Monday and too much of double meaning will keep the ladies and family audience away."
Girish Wankhede, spokesperson of a multiplex chain said, "The collections are good. From day one it was very clear what to expect and that has worked in a big way. Another Hollywood release Ice Age 4: Continental Drift has also done very well in our chain. It was almost houseful on Sunday and we are very happy with its collections."
Trade analyst Atul Mohan said, "KSKHH is doing well. There are a couple of more holidays in this week plus there is no film in competition. which will help." Meanwhile Bol Bachchan crossed the Rs 100 crore mark last week and Cocktail running in its third week has managed to collect around Rs 73 crore after the weekend collections.
