London: Pop diva Lady Gaga has said she is"bankrupt" after her Monster Ball world tour because of thehuge cost involved in staging the shows.
The 25-year-old singer, who prefers elaborate costumesand backing dancers, admitted the production cost her afortune and her spending was more than her earning, reportedContactmusic.
"I put everything in the show, and I actually wentbankrupt after the first extension of the Monster Ball. Andit was funny because I didn't know! And I remember I calledeverybody and said, 'Why is everyone saying I have no money?This is ridiculous, I have five number one singles' - and theysaid, 'Well, you're $3 million in debt'," said Gaga.
Despite the experience, the Judas hitmaker hadfailed to curb her expenditure and has spent on buyingmemorabilia from London of the British royal family todecorate her home with and remind her of her fans in England.
"Gaga has sent her staff to London to spend $16,502on Princess Diana and Prince William and Kate Middletonwedding memorabilia. She wants to set up a room in her NewYork apartment dedicated to London and all her precious LittleMonsters over there," said a source.
