Los Angeles:
Lady Gaga is reportedly "furious" about plans for a biopic of her life.
The 25-year-old 'Born This Way' singer is said to be "cringing"; at the idea of having her rise to fame portrayed in forthcoming film 'Fame Monster: The Lady Gaga Story'.
While producers are on the lookout for an unknown to play Gaga, the woman herself is believed to be raging over the news.
A source said: "She's furious, she's cringing at the thought of her life being exposed on television."Gaga doesn't want it getting out because it will portray her as insecure and needy. [She] wants to be seen as powerful and strong."
TV network Lifetime originally bought the rights to the movie - which is being written by Norman Snider and is based on Maureen Callahan's 2010 book 'Poker Face: The Rise And Rise Of Lady Gaga' - although Life & Style magazine reports they are now being offered elsewhere.
The eccentric star is not normally one to shy away from publicity, and even admits she "needs"; to be in the spotlight.
She told Vanity Fair magazine: "I love show business. I need it. It's like breath."I only know the happiness of putting a smile on someone's face from the stage."
