Lady Gaga in tears

Lady Gaga in tears
London: Lady Gaga was reduced to tears as she watched a performance from her seat on the So You Think You Can Dance judging panel.

The pop star was appearing as a guest judge on the show along with director and choreographer Rob Marshall.

She became overwhelmed with emotion as she watched a routine from Marko Germar and his professional dance partner Allison Holker.

The contemporary dance was performed to Jeff Buckley song I Know It's Over.

"I'm just so proud of you," cried Lady Gaga. "There were so, so many things that I did wrong when I was younger and so many things I wish I could take back and I felt every moment of that through your dance tonight."

The show saw the top eight finalists compete.

They were Jordan Casanova, Tadd Gadduang, Marko Germar, Ricky Jaime, Caitlynn Lawson, Jess LeProtto, Sasha Mallory and Melanie Moore.

For her appearance on the show, Lady Gaga wore a bright red blazer and matching captain's hat and had turquoise hair.

And at one point in the show the star lifted up her leg to reveal huge twelve inch platform heels.

"Honey, you give me so much hope, I'll tell you, because it's no surprise that I am quite short," she told petit contestant Jordan Casanova before displaying her boots.

The show also featured a special performance by Lady Gaga.
