London:
Singer Lady Gaga shared her experience of being raped at 19 and explained how the traumatic incident changed her life, reported UsWeekly .
"I didn't tell anyone for I think, seven years. I didn't know how to think about it. I didn't know how to accept it. I didn't know how to not blame myself or think it was my fault. It's something that really changed my life. It changed who I was completely. It changed my body. It changed my thoughts," she said.
"When you go through a trauma like that, it just doesn't have the immediate physical ramifications," she added.
Lady Gaga, 29, also explained that she took a lot of time to learn that she should not blame herself for whatever happened.
"Because of the way I dress, and the way that I'm provocative as a person, I thought that I had brought it on myself in some way. That it was my fault," she said.(Also Read: Lady Gaga Says She Was Manhandled By Back-up Dancer)
