On legendary playback singer Mohammed Rafi's 35th death anniversary on July 31, melody-queen Lata Mangeshkar and veteran actor Rishi Kapoor remembered his body of work.
The 85-year-old singer paid tribute to Rafi saab on Twitter. She sang duets like Teri Bindiya Re, Jo Wada Kiya Woh and Haye Re Haye with him. She tweeted:
Rishi Kapoor "thanked" Rafi saab for giving vocals in his movies. The 62-year-old actor shared:
Rafi saab has sung Dard-E-Dil from the 1980 film Karz and Shirdi Wale Saibaba from the 1977 film Amar Akbar Anthony, for Mr Kapoor.
The singer, who died on July 31, 1980, is also known for famous songs like Chaudhvin Ka Chand Ho, Kya Hua Tera Wada, Aadmi Musaafir Hai and Maine Poocha Chand Se.
