Rumours that Lataji has suffered a heart attack did the rounds on March 25.

Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar rubbished rumours of a heart attack, clarifying on social media network Twitter that she was not ill.
She tweeted: "Namaskar. Meri tabiyat ke baare mein afwaayein phail rahi hai. Par aap sab ka pyar aur duaaien hain ke meri tabiyat bilkul thik hai."
Rumours of Lataji having suffered a heart attack surfaced yesterday, sending a worried Bollywood - already reeling from the death of actress Nanda - into a flurry of activity making enquiries about the 84-year-old playback singer's health.
Many actors also took to Twitter to reassure Lataji's fans that all was well. TV star and BJP leader Smriti Irani tweeted: "As a family friend all I can say is that @mangeshkarlata didi is hale, hearty, in great spirits n laughing off rumours,"
"@mangeshkarlata didi n family hv spent d better half of dis evening assuring fans n supporters dat she is well."
Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar tweeted: "Just spoke to @mangeshkarlata. Lata Didi is hale and hearty. So please stop spreading baseless rumors."
In February 2013, there were similar rumours that suggested that Lata Mangeshkar had in fact died.
