Mumbai:
After posting a message to reassure fans following rumours of a health scare which swamped Twitter last night, renowned singer Lata Mangeskhar posted a new tweet this morning.
"Sharing some thoughts which i read with my Twitter family: If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion The only difference between a good day and a bad day is your attitude Remember, we all stumble, everyone of us. That's why it's a comfort to go hand in hand," she posted.
Late last night, Twitter was flooded with anxious tweets enquiring about the health of the 82-year-old singer when some tweets surfaced on a health scare.
"Namaskar. Pls don't believe any rumours which are doing the rounds about my health & well-being. All is well, by the Grace of God," she posted.
Rumours of Lata Mangeshkar's ill-health have persisted over the last month or so. She was last seen in public on September 28 at a function where Amitabh Bachchan presented her with the first-ever Hridaynath Award for her contribution to Indian music. The award was given in the name of her brother Hridaynath Mangeshkar.
The legendary singer's tweets last night and this morning have reassured fans who inundated Twitter with tweets praying for her well being and long life.
Angry fans have posted messages on tweets killing of celebrities from time-to-time.
"Twitter loves to kill celebrities. This time it was Lata Mangeshkar's turn. Disgusting," said one.
Others asked fans to retweet that the veteran was fine: "Please disregard vile rumours about Lata Mangeshkar's health. She is fit and fine by God's grace. Please RT."
