New Delhi:
The Supreme Court on Friday issued a notice to Tamil superstar Rajinikanth's wife Latha over the rights to 2014 film Kochadaiiyaan , reported news agency ANI. Media management firm Ad Bureau Advertising Private Limited has complained that Lathaji illegally sold the rights to the film, which starred Rajinikanth and was directed by their daughter Soundarya.
Last year, an FIR was lodged against Latha Rajinikanth for allegedly forging documents to obtain a court order that restrained media from publishing news about her dispute with a commissioned producer the rights to Kochadaiiyan.
The FIR was lodged after Ad Bureau filed a complaint on June 9, 2015, alleging that Lathaji had produced fake documents in court illegally sell the rights to an entertainment company, police said.
Kochadaiiyaan, which used motion capture, featured Rajinikanth in a triple role and co-starred Deepika Padukone.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is gearing up for the release of Kabali, which is scheduled to release on July 22.
