LeAnn also confessed she is terrified Eddie Cibrian will cheat on her.
London:
LeAnn Rimes contemplated suicide in the past.
The How Do I Live singer - who checked into rehab to undergo treatment for anxiety and stress last year - says she thought about ending her life at the time but insists she would never have acted on her dark thoughts.
The 30-year-old star - who was forced to hit back at allegations she was drinking before her duet performance with 13-year-old Carly Rose on The X Factor USA final last month - told 'Entertainment Tonight': "Of course, I think anybody could. I think any smart person would know that it is always a possibility that you could always get that sad and deep. I worried that was a possibility [but] I know I would never."
LeAnn also confessed she is terrified Eddie Cibrian will cheat on her.
The singer - who has been married to the 39-year-old actor for more than a year and a half and recently revealed she felt "pathetic" when they began having an affair on the set of 2009 TV movie Northern Lights while they were both still married to other people - admitted they both fear the other will cheat again.
She said: "I would be ignorant to say, and everyone else would think I am a liar if I didn't say yes, and I have at times,
"Speaking for him, I would actually say that's creeped into his [mind]...I think we've been very honest and open with that to each other and our conversations about it have only made me understand how much he actually cares, as much as I do, about being faithful to each other."
LeAnn previously opened up about the beginning of their relationship - when they were both still married to their first spouses Brandi Glanville and Dean Sheremet - as she explained the lyrics of her new song Borrowed, and said that they both caused each other a lot of hurt.
She said: "I actually was scared to put him in the song, because it does talk about how we both hurt each other. There was a moment where we did have some hurt between the two of us that we had to accept and get over and move forward."
