London: Lebanon has lifted the ban imposedon reigning pop diva Lady Gaga's latest album, Born This Wayafter facing criticism for the singer's fans.
The western Asian country's intelligence agency,General Security Directorate, had earlier seized a shipment ofthe album ruling that the track Judas was "offensive toChristians".
But the authorities had to give in to the demands ofGaga fans, who claimed that the move was pointless as they canhave access to the album via internet, reported Sun online.
A statement was later released that read, "The CD hasreceived approval for entry and distribution in Lebanon."
The 25-year-old pop star's publicist also confirmedthe news.
Born This Way has hit number one in 28 countriessince its release two weeks ago.
