Leonardo DiCaprio to start filming Martin Scorsese's next

Los Angeles: Inception star Leonardo DiCaprioand director Martin Scorsese have set a date to begin filmingThe Wolf of Wall Street.

The 36-year-old actor, who has worked with the acclaimeddirector four times previously, will take a starring role inthe movie, which is based on the memoir by Jordan Belfort,reported Contactmusic.

The movie will tell the tale of a hard-partyingdrug-fuelled stock broker who was indicted in 1998 forsecurity fraud and money laundering and consequently served a22 month prison stretch.

DiCaprio and Scorsese have been trying to get the projectoff the ground since 2007, but now a firm timeline has beenset, with the movie shooting in New York in the summer.Scorsese will produce the project as well as direct, witha script by Terence Winter.

The pair have previously worked together on Gangs of NewYork, The Aviator, The Departed and Shutter Island.

DiCaprio recently completed filming Baz Lurhman's TheGreat Gatsby alongside Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire.
