Hollywood superstar Leonardo DiCaprio was offered a role in the blockbuster Star Wars franchise, he confirmed in an interview to the Shortlist.
When asked if he was offered the role of Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars prequels, Leonardo told the Shortlist: "I did have a meeting with George Lucas about that as well, yes."
But why did he not go ahead with the role?
He answered: "Just didn't feel ready to take that dive. At that point."
The character was eventually played by actor Hayden Christensen in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens also became the fastest movie to pass the $1 billion mark in global box office sales.
