Lily Allen fears her wedding will be a windswept washout as hurricanes are predicted to hit Britain this weekend, but the weather forecaster has reassured her that nothing of the sort will happen.
Allen is set to tie the knot with fiance Sam Cooper near their countryside home in southwest England on Saturday.
Experts are predicting that gales and winds of 435 km per hour will hit the region around the time the couple exchange vows, and Allen is desperately hoping the reports are wrong.
In a post on her Twitter blog, she asked British weather forecaster Lucy Verasamy: "It says there are going to be winds of 275 mph (435 km per hour) in Gloucestershire this Saturday on (weather website) Met Check, please tell me they're lying. It's my wedding."
But Verasamy moved swiftly to reassure the singer, tweeting back: "It's lies. Probs (probably) a glitch in their data feed. Charts/forecast have been changing everyday - bit early to call Saturday."
