Actress Lindsay Lohan is allegedly enjoying a number of perks in jail including a television in her cell, a recently released fellow prisoner has claimed.
Debra Sickels, a recently released prisoner in contact with other inmates at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California, where Lindsay is serving time - claims the troubled actress is receiving special treatment, the New York Daily News reported.
"The girls said they cleaned a special room for Lindsay. It had a regular hospital bed, a TV and a dresser for her new clothes and socks," She told the newspaper.
And Debra revealed that some inmates were getting angry over it."
It has also been claimed that Lohan is paying out for even more perks such as special food, new clothes, a female guard and private phone access, the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department has denied the actress is being treated differently to other inmates.
A spokesman for the Sheriff's Department said, "She's being treated like any other inmate in her classification. There's no special treatment at all."
Lohan, 24, who was sentenced to 90 days incarceration for breaching the terms of probation set for her 2007 driving under the influence (DUI) conviction, is already facing criticism after her family were allowed to visit her outside of official visiting hours.
However, it is believed the decision for her to have the private meeting was for safety reasons.
"Lindsay might get visitors after the official visiting hours are over for the other inmates for security reasons. It's for the safety of everyone," Law enforcement officials said.
