Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan - whose career has been plagued by a series of legal problems and spells in rehab - admits she doesn't need any more "negative stuff" in her life and wants to put her bad times behind her.
"I regret the choices that I've made, but I'm grateful for where I am today because of them. I don't need to see any more negative stuff, I don't need to put myself in those places anymore," she said.
The 25-year-old blonde - who has been undergoing community service at the Los Angeles County Morgue as part of her punishment for breaching probation - claims the experience has been "humbling" and she has "learned from it".
She added: "It's been a learning experience and I'm glad that I experienced it. I'm grateful that I've learned from it. It's helped me, it's humbling."
The Mean Girls actress - who has been in and out of jail and rehab since 2007 when she was arrested in a DUI (driving under the influence) incident - also wants to get her acting career back on track and attend the Academy Awards in the future.
When asked on the 'Today' show where she hopes to be in five years time, she replied: "Hopefully I'll have just come from the Oscars this past weekend."
Lindsay has been lined up to portray iconic actress Dame Elizabeth Taylor in new TV movie 'Liz and Dick'.
