After two prison stints anda confession to drug addiction, Hollywood beauty Lindsay Lohanis finally making an effort to clean up her image.
Just hours after being released from a 14-hour prisonspell, the 24-year-old visited a church near downtown LosAngeles which specialises in caring for the city's homeless.
The Mean Girls star was accompanied by her mum Dina,her sister Ali and her new manager Lou Taylor, as she spent anhour talking to some of the centers residents and signingautographs, reported TMZ online.
Lohan, who is reportedly heading back to rehab withinthe next few days, then took to micro-blogging website Twitterto share her experience.
"What a great place The Dream Center is here in LA.Had a nice time there today, it's so important to give back. Ifeel blessed," she tweeted.
The visit occurred just hours before shockingphotographs surfaced showing Lindsay back in 2007 using asyringe to inject herself with what is believed to be heroin.
The pictures show a very thin looking Lohan posingwith the syringe with a tourniquet wrapped around her arm andinjecting the substance into her left wrist.
In another photograph an unknown person injects Lohanin her lower back.
The former child star was remanded to jail at theLynwood County Correctional Facility after shefailed two court ordered drugs tests that were part of herprobation terms from a 2007 drink driving case.
Judge Elden Fox initially refused Lohan bail, meaningshe could have stayed in jail until her next court hearing onOctober 22nd, but the stars lawyer Shaun Chapman Holleyappealed the decision and got the ruling overturned allowingher to post a $300,000 bail and be released from jail.
Lohan is now free until the next court date but hasbeen ordered to wear a scram device, which she was hidingunder long boots, and avoid any location where alcohol can bepurchased.
It is believed at the October court hearing Lohan willbe ordered to serve 30 days in jail for every individualprobation violation.
