Mumbai: Emraan Hashmi is in no hurry to shedhis 'serial kisser' tag as the actor, who has managed toreinvent himself with films like The Dirty Picture andShanghai, likes his bold image.
Starting his journey with erotic-thrillers like Murder,Zeher,Kalyug and others, Hashmi moved on to try differentroles in Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai, The Dirty Picture,Murder 2, Jannat 2, Raaz 3 and Shanghai. Hashmibelieves that the only thing that has changed is that he isnow called a 'hit' actor.
"I am still kissing in my films and will keep doing that.But I am lucky to have earned the 'hit' tag as I have alwaysopted to work on unique films," Emraan told reportershere at the DVD launch of Raaz 3.
Although the actor has done movies spread across variousgenres from romance to crime thrillers Emraan calls horrorhis favourite space.
"This (horror) is one of my favorite genres. Whenever Ihave done this genre, it has worked. This (Raaz 3) film haspushed the envelope," he said.
Released on September 3, Raaz 3 directed by VikramBhatt had Emraan, Bipasha Basu and newbie Esha Gupta in thelead. The 3D film did good business at the box office.
"The best thing about the Raaz 3 DVD is you can watchit in 3D, 2D on a standard screen," Emraan said.
Raaz 3 a horror thriller film is a sequel to Raaz -The Mystery Continues, which itself was a sequel to Raaz.
The third installment in the Raaz series revolvedaround the downfall of an actress and how she turns to blackmagic to secure her position in the industry.
"Every film in the franchise is a hit. Raaz 3 wasVikram's vision and I am happy that the film has done so well.This is not only the largest horror franchise; it is one ofthe few horror films that have reached this level at the boxoffice," producer Mahesh Bhatt said.
There have been reports that Raaz 4 is coming soon andwhen asked about the same, Bhatt said, "Once we are readywith a good script then we will decide whether to make ornot."
