Actress Madhoo says she wants totake up challenging roles like actors Amitabh Bachchan andRishi Kapoor are doing in films these days.
Madhoo, 41, known for roles in films like Roja,Diljale and Phool Aur Kaante, is quite excited about thecurrent lot of films.
"My south films have started releasing. One filmreleased last month and did 50 days run, so I believe it's ahit. I have signed a couple of films and will start shootingsoon. I have started acting again and I am enjoying that.Hopefully I will do a Hindi film soon, waiting for right movieto come to me," Madhoo told PTI.
The actress aspires to do interesting roles and hopesfilmmakers think of her in a different way today.
"I don't want to say things and limit myself as anactress. I am at a juncture in my life where I can explore anddo many different things. I would want producers and creativepeople to think of something really challenging and wonderfulfor me as an actress," Madhoo said.
"When you are younger and playing a heroine, at thattime things are pretty similar - like falling in love with thehero and getting married in the end. But now the movies andcharacterisation are different. I can do many more things thanI did earlier in my life. It is like Chintuji (Rishi Kapoor),Amitji (Amitabh Bachchan), like they are doing fantastic rolesnow. I hope I can find something like that too," she said.
Madhoo was earlier seen in a Telugu film AnthakuMundhu Aa Tharuvatha, directed by National Award winner MohanKrishna Indraganti. The film released in August and got a goodresponse.
The actress feels that once she does some more films,she might even think of getting into direction.
"I do entertain that thought of directing a film. Butas of now when I am thinking of coming back in the industry,it is only as an actress. May be once I settle down thendefinitely in future I would like to direct a film," sheadded.
