Madhur Bhandarkar was presented with the Sophia Award

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar was presented with Sophia Award at the Syracuse International Film Festival here.
His movies Heroine and Fashion were also screened at the festival, which concluded on Sunday.

Mr Bhandarkar, also known for helming films like Page 3 and Corporate, is now working on his new project Calendar Girls with fresh faces.
The director, who has worked with actresses like Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Tabu, has won National Award for films like Chandni Bar, Page 3 and Traffic Signal.
