Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar washonoured with the prestigious 'New York Citizen's AchievementAward'.
The 44-year-old National-award winning director, who ispresently on a vacation in New York, said that he is highlyhonoured to receive the honour.
"I am hugely honoured and humbled by the Citizen'sAchievement Award given to me by people of NYC. I m trulytouched!," he posted on Twitter.
Bhandarkar's last project was the Kareena Kapoor-starrerHeroine, which released in September, 2012.
