Mr Bhandarkar tweeted:
Earlier there were reports that he had approached model-turned-actress Deepika Padukone for the film but the rumours were quashed. (Also read: Always wanted to work with Priyanka Chopra again: Madhur Bhandarkar)
Mr Bhandarkar, who has helmed films like Fashion, Page 3 and Corporate, last directed a project titled Heroine in 2012 featuring Kareena Kapoor.
