A fan of actress MadhuriDixit, Papu Sardar, celebrated the cine star's 45th birthdayhere in a novel way - helping a couple, belonging to the belowpoverty line (BPL) tie the wedding knot.
"I bore the marriage expenses of the couple, whosemarriage was solemnized last evening on the eve of myfavourite film star Madhuri Dixit at the 19-year-old girl'sresidence, after consulting with a local organisation of theminority community from which the couple belong to," Sardarsaid as he cut a big cake today and offered puja to pray forthe Bollywood actress "comeback in films."
Besides bearing the marriage expenses, Sardar, theowner of a "chaat shop" at Sakchi market, said he would bearthe medical expenses of three Thalassemia-inflictedgirl-patients belonging to poor financial background to markthe day.
"Madhuri Dixit is like my elder sister," the43-year-old Sardar said, adding "her birthday has alwaysmotivated me to help the needy. This year I have decided tobear the medical expenses three thalassemia inflicted girls."
Sardar has been organising birthday celebrations ofMadhuri from 1996 and the day attracts large crowd every year.
