Los Angeles: Pop diva Madonna has been banned for Alamo Drafthouse Cinema chain after the Like a Virginhitmaker wouldn't stop texting during movie screening.

The 55-year-old singer was allegedly constantly on her mobile during the screening of 12 Years a Slave at the New YorkFilm Festival.

CEO Tim League insisted he will enforce the ban on Madonna after she also reportedly blasted a fellow moviegoer who askedher to turn off her cell phone, reported Aceshowbiz.

League, the founder and CEO of the Texas-based theater chain, tweeted, "Until she apologises to movie fans, Madonnais banned from watching movies @drafthouse."

"Madonna, however entitled she feels she is, is unbearably rude to others around her by texting in a theater," in replyto a Twitter user who claimed League "is being a bit of sexistdouche about this Madonna situation. Madonna isn't a teenybopper, she is a billion dollar business," he added.

Asked if he meant what he said about the ban, League said, "Yeah, I'm serious, but I don't think it really affects herlife that much."

Madonna has not responded to the ban or to the accusation that she lashed out at a fellow moviegoer who reminded herabout the no texting policy in the theater chain.

An insider previously said when a woman tapped a blonde, who turned out to be Madonna, on the shoulder and told her toput her phone away, the blonde hissed back, "It's for business... enslaver."
