Lady Gaga has hit out atdistractors saying that her smash hit 'Born This Way' is acopy of Madonna's 'Express Yourself', branding them "retards".In a new interview with NME, the Grammy winning singerhas said she is not a plagiarist, just a smart artist.
"That's retarded. If you put the songs next to eachother, side by side, the only similarities are the chordprogression. It's the same one that's been in disco music forthe last 50 years. Just because I'm the first artist in 25years to think of putting it on Top 40 radio, it doesn't meanI'm a plagiarist, it means I'm smart," said the 24-year-old.
She's also getting criticism, this time from religiousgroups, over her new song, 'Judas' told from the point of viewfrom Mary Magdelene.
"I feel like honestly that God sent me those lyricsand that melody. When you feel a message to give to the worldand people are shooting arrows through it, there's no way forsomething that pure to be wrong," said the 'Pokerface'hitmaker.
