London: Pop star Katy Perry has credited pop queen Madonna with inspiring her upcoming 3D concert movie.
Perry invited a camera crew to film her California Dreams Tour for "Part Of Me", which will feature live footage and touch on personal issues including her failed marriage to Russell Brand, reported Contactmusic.
The singer said plans for the forthcoming documentary were inspired by Madonna's 1991 film "Madonna: ruth or Dare".
"Madonna is everything to me, and that movie is amazing, because it caught her at a time when she was a bit more vulnerable. I wanted to do that too, to capture a snapshot of who I am now so that I can remind myself what I've lost if I ever do become totally jaded," Perry said.
"Part Of Me" is due in theatres in July.
