New Delhi:
Mahesh Babu's new film SPYDER had trended a great deal last month and also recently after rumours doing the rounds on the Internet that footage from the movie has made its way online. A source close to the team of the much awaited movie dismissed such speculation as "absolutely baseless," adding precautions to prevent such unwelcome developments were already in place, reported news agency IANS. "There's been no footage leak. We have ensured no such thing happens. Everything that you're reading online or in papers is absolutely baseless," a source from the film's unit revealed, IANS reported.
Written and directed by A R Murugadoss, SPYDER casts Mahesh Babu along with Rakul Preet Singh and a bevy of other actors. Earlier this month, the film's team had discarded speculations that parts of the film along with a song playing the background released on the Internet. "Do NOT believe rumours about ANY leakage of #SPYder footage. Some elements are spreading Fake videos," is what was tweeted earlier this month.
Two teasers of Mahesh Babu's film have released so far with an interval of two months - one in May and the next in August. Murugadoss' film is actually titled not after Mahesh Babu's character but his technologically advanced accomplice - a robot spider, who featured in the first teaser of the film.
SPYDER casts Mahesh Babu as an intelligence officer and we also got a glimpse of Rakul Preet Singh in the promotional material of the movie only recently. The movie also includes names like R J Balaji, Priyadarshi and Surya S.J. The spy thriller has been rescheduled to hit screens on September 27.
