Mahie Gill has bagged the lead role in Ram Gopal Varma's next, which has been tentatively titled Love Story. The film will go on the floors by the month-end.
RGV was to shoot for his other movie Department first, but since Amitabh Bachchan could not confirm his dates, Ramu decided to shoot with Mahie in the meantime.
A source said, "Ramu has started work on an interesting script that is female oriented. He wanted a strong, bold actress for the part. RGV has been following Mahie's work and felt that she suited the role. He met her and she has given a verbal commitment but the formalities have to be worked out."
The Dev D actress said, "I did meet Ramu but nothing is final yet. We are still in talks."
