Los Angeles: A man was detained outside Taylor Swift's home in Los Angeles after the police received a call from the singer's residence.
The man was arrested on Wednesday, after the Los Angeles Police Department received a complaint from Taylor's residence at 2:45 pm, reports .
The police also confirmed that the man was detained for an investigation at 4:40 pm. Those who live near Taylor's house got "spooked" by the man when they saw him standing outside their home. According to eyewitnesses, the man asked Taylor to come out of her home. They also felt that the man was unstable.
A police officer said that he was taken to the West Los Angeles Division police station for medical examination.
"The man was detained for an investigation. He was not supposed to be in that area or near that home. He was taken for observation for an undisclosed medical condition," the officer said. However, the man was released later without being charged with a crime.
Taylor's spokesperson said that they were disappointed with the media because they had published the singer's address.
"This is why it's irresponsible for the media to publish the addresses or recent real estate transactions of celebrities. This, or potentially worse, is the end result," the spokesperson said.
