Manoj Bajpayee has denied the rumours about him starring in Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna's 2021 Telugu blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise sequel. The actor on Wednesday posted a tweet quoting a news report on Twitter and wrote, "Kaha Kaha se samachar laatein ho aap log? (From where do you get these updates?)," followed by laughing emoticons. Speculations were rife that The Family Man actor was approached by the makers for the role of a police officer in Pushpa 2. Check out Manoj Bajpayee's tweet here:
Also, in a recent interview with News18, Manoj Bajpayee called the reports "false". He said, "No truth! False news! That's all I can say!".
The upcoming sequel will focus on the face-off between Pushpa ( played by Allu Arjun) and SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat (played by Fahadh Faasil). Pushpa: The Rise was released last year in December in four regional languages - Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. The sequel was supposed to go on the floors immediately after the release of Pushpa: The Rise, but as per reports, the makers have decided to rewrite the script.
Coming back to Manoj Bajpayee, the actor was last seen in Amazon Prime Video's web series The Family Man season 2. In terms of movies, he was last seen in Silence... Can You Hear It? and Dial 100. Next, he will be seen in Rahul Chittella's upcoming movie Gulmohar, co-starring Sharmila Tagore, Amol Palekar, Simran Rishi Bagga and Suraj Sharma, Despatch, Netflix's web series Soup and The Family Man season 3.
