Veteran actor and filmmaker Manoj Kumar was admitted to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai on July 21, 2013 for gastric infection.
The 75-year-old star of films such as Upkar, Neelkamal, Hariyali Aur Rasta and Purab Aur Paschim, is admitted at the hospital under his original name Harikrishna Giri Goswami.
He reportedly complained of pain in his gall bladder.
Mr Kumar will be kept under observation till July 24, 2013, which is also the day he turns 76.
