The Hobbit actor Manu Bennett was arrested after he allegedly punched a man during a party in San Antonio, Texas. Mr Bennett is listed on the Celebrity Guest portion of the Alamo City Comic Con site and had been scheduled to attend September 12 and 13.
The New Zealand-born actor, 45, was in town for the Alamo City Comic Con and attended an after party at a hotel, where the incident reportedly occurred around 4.30am on September 13, reported Variety.
Bexar County Magistrate's Office records show Mr Bennett was released from jail around 1 pm on the same day.
Reps for Mr Bennett had no immediate comment about the arrest. Mr Bennett is listed on the Celebrity Guest portion of the Alamo City Comic Con site and had been scheduled to attend September 12 and 13.
The actor portrayed Azog the Defiler in the Hobbit trilogy, the gladiator Crixus in the TV series Spartacus, Slade Wilson/Deathstroke in the CW show Arrow and is set to appear as Allanon in the upcoming MTV series The Shannara Chronicles.
