London:
Mariah Carey's fans are in for a dual treat as the singer has teamed up with her mother for her upcoming Christmas album.
The pregnant star asked her mother Patricia, a former opera singer, to join her in the studio for a medley of OCome All Ye Faithful and The Hallelujah chorus, Contactmusic reported.
"I've spoken about my mother's influence my whole life, so this was like coming full circle," said the40-year-old singer.
Carey's new album, Merry Christmas II You, will be released this month after a desperate attempt to wind it up before the festive period.
"I was staying up 24 hours a day, doing Auld Lang Syne in one take," she added.
The Obsessed hitmaker also celebrated her Christmas in July as she made sure the studios where she recorded the album were decorated with trees and garlands.
