Mariah Carey and NickCannon have named their newborn twins Monroe and MoroccanScott.
The two welcomed their twins on April 30 and followingdays of speculations a representative for the singer hasfinally disclosed the names on Twitter, reported Contactmusic.
"Mariah & Nick reveal the names of #dembabies MonroeCannon & Moroccan Scott Cannon! (sic)"
The baby girl is named after yesteryear's screengoddess Marilyn Monroe, one of the singer's biggestinspirations.
Their son's name is inspired by the Moroccan Room inCarey's New York apartment, which features NorthAfrican-themed decor. It was also where Cannon proposed toCarey after a whirlwind romance in 2008.
The baby boy shares his middle name with Cannon, whichis also the maiden name of the TV personality's grandmother.
Little Monroe was not given a second name as Careydoesn't have one either, according to a spokesperson for the42-year-old superstar.
