Academy award winningactress Marion Cotillard has become a mother after givingbirth to her first child, a son named Marcel.
The Inception star Marion Cotillard and her Frenchactor-director partner Guillaume Canet welcomed their son onThursday in a Paris hospital, reported People magazine online.
"Mother and baby are fine. Marion is very happy," saidthe 35-year-old actress' representative.
Cotillard and Canet, 38, first starred together in2003's Love Me If You Dare and began dating in 2007.
Though Cotillard, who won a best actress Oscar for herturn as singer Edith Piaf in La Vie En Rose, has beenspotted wearing a diamond solitaire from Canet on her lefthand, they have denied reports about an impending wedding.
The actress who enjoyed a quiet and private pregnancy,will return to work soon for the upcoming Batman movie, TheDark Knight Rises, with Anne Hathaway and Christian Bale.
Cotillard currently stars in Woody Allen's Midnightin Paris, which kicked off this year's Cannes Film Festival.
She was most recently seen in Little White Lieswhich Canet directed.
