Designer Masaba Gupta and actor Satyadeep Misra got married in an intimate ceremony on Friday. While the ceremony may have been a quiet one, the bride's outfit spoke volumes about Masaba's designing prowess and vision. The lehenga by the designer's own brand, House Of Masaba, has been inspired by legendary Indian painter Manjit Bawa's works, Masaba has revealed in a new Instagram post. Sharing images of her looking resplendent in the outfit, Masaba wrote, “‘Shringar' - A marriage is a celebration of stability, movement and  balance..much like life and Manjit Bawa's work which has had a huge impact in my life … and this artwork provided the inspiration for my bridal line.”

Sharing details of the outfit, Masaba continued: “In the @houseofmasaba Barfi Pink ‘Paan-Patti' lehenga paired with two dupattas - one in a Lime Green Wallflower Print dupatta with a sequinned border and the other with ‘open hearts' embellished on it in rani pink. The custom border has the first ever Masaba Motif - ‘the palm' and the ‘chidiya' which celebrates the union of tradition and freedom. A sign that women can believe in the institution of marriage yet follow their hearts and  voice their thoughts freely.”

Masaba Gupta also offered details about her wedding jewellery. She said: “ Jewels - I wanted a customised ‘Chand Taara' inspired by South Indian headgears because the sun is energy - the protector and giver of life. And the various phases of the moon affect us in ways we don't even recognise. We are driven by nature and energised by it. May we never forget that.”
