Popular for his urban roles inMera Brother ki Dulhan and Delhi Belly, actor Imran Khanis looking forward to audiences' reaction to his rustic avatarin Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola this Friday.
It is for the first time that the actor is working withVishal Bhardwaj and though he is nervous, Imran also feels asense of accomplishment after working on the movie.
"As a creative person, when your work is done you arenervous about whether people will like it or not. Having saidthat, I feel a great sense of accomplishment to be a part ofthis film. I got to share screen space with a great actor likePankaj Kapur and work in a Vishal Bhardwaj film. Beyond that,I am wondering how people will react to the film on thisFriday," Imran told PTI.
The film is a political satire on the land acquisitionissue. It is Bhardwaj's first comedy and Imran, who is popularamong the urban audiences, feels the film will connect witheveryone through its humour.
"People normally hear that it is Vishal Bhardwaj film andthey get scared thinking that it will be very dark and gritty.This is the first time he has made a comedy. On my part, Idon't know why he waited for so long because he has a greatsense of humour. The film has a very unique, very originalstyle of humour," Imran said.
The actor plays Matru, the Man Friday to Kapur'scharacter of Mandola while Anushka Sharma is Bijlee in thefilm.
