Los Angeles:
The Jason Bourne series star Matt Damon has signed on to direct an untitled drama co-written by John Krasinski.
The 41-year-old actor will also produce and star in the film about a salesman who comes to a small town only to find his life change, the Hollywood Reporter said.
The film is reportedly set in the vein of 2000's legal drama Erin Brockovich that got Julia Roberts an Oscar. The idea of the story is developed by Krasinski and author Dave Eggers.
Krasinski will also star in the movie, whose production is expected to begin this Spring.
Last year, Damon was also set to direct Father Daughter Time: A Tale of Armed Robbery and Eskimo Kisses, a crime drama written by Matthew Aldrich. But sources say that Damon will make his directorial debut through the Krasinski project.
