In sixth place was Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension, the latest instalment in the popular fright fest series. It had a lacklustre opening and earned $8.2 million in its debut weekend.

Steve Jobs ($7.3 million), Crimson Peak ($5.6 million) and The Intern ($3.9 million) held the seventh, eighth and ninth position respectively with Sicario ($2.95 million) rounding off the list of top 10.

Final figures releases on October 26.
