London:
Former Friends star Matt Leblanc has seen off competition from Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz to top the leaderboard of motoring show Top Gear's racetrack challenge.
The 44-year-old actor got behind the wheel of a hatchback for a lap of the circuit as part of the programme's Star in a Reasonably Priced Car slot, reported Daily Mail online. Footage of the drive showed LeBlanc whistling merrily as he raced round the track, prompting host Jeremy Clarkson to declare, "It was obviously boring you to death out there."
Diaz and Cruise boast times of one minute 45.2 seconds and one minute 44.2 seconds respectively, while actor Rowan Atkinson topped the leaderboard with a time of one minute 42.2 seconds. But LeBlanc beat the Johnny English star by 0.1 seconds.
