Los Angeles:
Former Spice Girl Melanie Brown and husband Stephen Belafonte are being sued for $500,000 by a media firm accusing them of fraud and breach of contract.
In the suit filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court, B Media, a media development and distribution company, claim to have made a deal in 2008 to invest in upcoming Mel B projects.
The singer allegedly assured the company their investment in her was sound, and that she already had a multitude of concerts, producers, and an album ready to go. But the suit alleges that instead of honouring their agreement, the 35-year-old instead took on a Vegas job in Peep Show at Planet Hollywood, reported TMZ online.
And BMEDIA believe they are contractually entitled to a cut of the profits from those ventures.
