The Iron Lady star Meryl Streephopes that the film will inspire more filmakers to cast olderactresses in lead roles.
The 62-year-old actress portrays the former British PrimeMinister in the political drama and she hopes Hollywood willtake notice of the movie's plot and casting and realiseaudiences want variety on the big screen, reportedContactmusic.
"If you look around at movie offerings there are over 300films that are out there this year there are very few that arestarring 62-year-old women. That isn't to say that therearen't many stories that those women can embody and therearen't many women, and men, who might like to see them,"Streep said.
"I think each one that comes out and gets a lot ofattention enables the next one and the next one," she added.
